Booking Terms

  • The holiday packages listed on inditour.com are only proposed holiday itinerary. Inditour.com does not hold any confirmed reservations of the travel products in such itineraries. The same is subject to availability at the time of booking. Even the tour cost might change based on the actual availability of the travel services included in the tour.
  • Your booking request will be processed for confirmation of prices and availability of services as requested by you. Only after confirmation about the prices and availability received from you, inditour.com will be bound to provide you the requested service subject to you making full payment and complying with Terms & Conditions.
  • Itinerary timings in the tour are approximate and may be subject to change.
  • Holiday packages including the airfare might change as per the airfare structure of the airline during the time of booking. The total fare may go up due to an increase in the fuel price, change in government regulations, taxes and other costs which are not in control of inditour.com.
  • If it is deemed, inditour.com may sometimes amend the itinerary for the convenience and safety of the passengers. However, in such cases, inditour.com will ensure that all the services remain the same. If the itinerary is altered or changed, the same will be communicated to the passenger before the booking or before the departure of the tour, whichever is first.
  • Transfers and sightseeing on SIC basis means transport through a comfortable coach/bus/van depending on the total number of passengers travelling with you on that same tour. Please note that inditour.com will be putting together all the passengers arriving around the same time and dropping them at their respective hotels. You may talk to our holiday experts for private transfers/ transport facility, which will be made available at an additional cost.
  • Inditour.com, if deemed, may change, postpone or delay the date of departure or conclusion of the tour or amend the travel route due to some unprecedented reasons like inclement weather, snow conditions, political restrictions or any other cause. In the event of such changes/delays, Inditour.comwill not be liable for any refund of tour price (in whole or in part) or other compensation for any injury, loss or damage.
  • Inditour.com is not liable if an airline cancels, reschedules, or delays a flight for any given reason. If the passenger has purchased air ticket through Inditour.com, we will try to assist in making new arrangements provided the passenger has not already checked-in with the airline for the onward flight segment. In such cases, the fare difference amount will need to be borne by the passenger.
  • Inditour.com will assist with all the special requests by passengers on the tour such as special meals, preferred seats, wheelchairs and other requirements at all points of time and also arrange to send the confirmation for the same from the relevant service provider. However, if on a tour the relevant service is not provided/ available despite the pre-booking request by Inditour.com, then in such case, Inditour.com will not be liable for any damages or additional cost.
  • Independent activities chosen by the passenger shall not be arranged by Inditour.com during the tour. However, Inditour.com may, depending on the tour course, arrange such activities under separate conditions at an additional cost.
  • Inditour.com may refuse passenger participation if it determines that he/she threatens to embarrass, create inconvenience or interfere with the collective activities of other tour participants.
  • If the passenger makes his/her own flight arrangement, Inditour.com will not be liable for any loss resulting from flight cancellation/delays/changes in international gateways, itineraries or travel dates. Inditour.com recommends that passenger should not purchase airline tickets with high penalty charges for changes/amendments.
  • During local and national holidays, on special events, peak seasons, on long weekends, and during religious occasions, entry to certain facilities such as churches, restaurants, hotels, shopping malls, markets, and museums may be limited or not available. In such cases, alternatives will be offered where ever possible. Inditour.com will not be liable for any closures, necessary itinerary changes or curtailments on the tour for any reason.

 

Additional cost

  • The passenger shall pay the expenses incurred when he/she requests for a personal accompaniment/tour guide service for purposes like guided shopping, extended city tour, etc.
  • All personal extras such as laundry, room service, alcohol, minibar, telephone bills, pre-paid or post-paid SIM cards etc. will be on direct payment basis by the traveller to the service provider and Inditour.comwill not be liable for the same at any point of time.
  • Cost arising from a passenger’s illness and injury, the return of lost baggage, articles/valuables left behind owing to personal negligence as well as changes incurred by independent activity will be borne by the passenger.
  • Passenger will be charged extra for any upgrade in accommodation or flight services.
  • Additional cost may need to be incurred by the passenger, if he/she wishes to change a meal plan voluntarily from the plan mentioned in the holiday package.
  • Passengers will be charged extra for extended hotel stay(s).
  • The prices displayed on the website or quoted by our travel experts have been calculated as per the rate prevailing at the time of product development. The Company reserves the right to amend the prices in case of currency fluctuations, changes in the various gross rates of exchange, and/or fuel costs, special/high season charge levied by the suppliers, hike in the airline/rail charges before the date of departure and surcharge accordingly. All such increases in price must be paid in full before the departure by the Client. Any Visa cost fluctuations will have to be borne by the passenger.
  • Passengers will be charged extra for any additional cost incurred on the account of visa related services or any additional services, if any requested, by the relevant consulate.
  • Guaranteed early check-in or late check-out if requested at any hotel by the passenger will be at a supplement cost which the passenger needs to bear.

Day 1 : ARRIVE – Paro

Day Map

A flight to Paro is one of the most spectacular of all mountain flights. One can see Mt. Everest, Kanchen Junga, Makalu and other peaks in Bhutan such as Chomolhari, Jichu Drakey and Tsrim Khang. The first gift from Bhutan will be cool, clean fresh air as you step out of the plane. After receiving and greetings by our representative in Paro airport we will drive you to Thimphu the capital town of Bhutan through valleys and mountains and escorted to restaurant for lunch. After lunch, we will visit the Thimphu, then evening free and easy walk around the town.

Visit to Ta-Dzong built in the 17th century, as watchtower to defend Paro Dzong below. This Ta-Dzong was converted into the National Museum in 1968, and it is filled with antique Thangka paintings, textiles, weapons and Armour. Driver to the Rinpung Dzong built in the 17th century to defend the valley against Tibetan invaders. The Dzong is now used as an administration center and school for monks. Every Dzong has dual system together with the religion section.

Visit Paro Rinpung Dzong. A flagstone path rises gradually with its superb woodwork, is one of the most beautiful in Bhutan. This is the head quarter of Paro district and headed by the Governor (Dzongdag) in local call Dasho. The principle of every Dzong in Bhutan is same and it is divided in two. It is called dual system.

Religious and Political runs together from here. An every Dzong in Bhutan contains many monasteries inside which are run by the monk body under the leadership of LAM NETEN (Head of Religion) equivalent to Governor. Night: Paro

Day 2 : Paro – Bumthang

Day Map

Flights to Bumthang take about 30 minutes from Paro airport. Check in hotel and sightseeing. Visit Jambay Lhakhang, Kurjey Lhakhang, Tamshing Lhakhang, Guru Lhakhang, and the Swiss Cheese Processing Unit. Here they produce cheese, apple juice and herbal brandies etc. Visit Jakar Dzong and more if time permits. Night Bumthang

Day 3: Bumthang – Trongsa, 68 Km 3 hours 2200m

Day Map

We will drive to Trongsa. It is 68 kilometers and 3 hours drive. The road will climb all the way to Kikela pass 2900m and than down Chummey valley and this valley are famous for Yatha weaving in central Bhutan.

Visit Trongsa Dzong. It was built at different periods on a spur overlooking the Mangdu-Chu River and it is one of the longest & most impressive Dzongs in Bhutan along with Trashi Chhodzong in Thimphu. How did Trongsa get its name?

Visit new open Museum of Trongsa Ta –Dzong

On the way we will come across Yak herders camps and encounter Yaks especially during winter. We will see high Himalayan villages like Rukubji and Chendebji. All the houses cluster at one place and fields at another.

Day 4 : Trongsa - Punakha, 128km, 6-7 hours, Altitude 1350 m

The drive begins through villages. And on the way you will come across Yak herder’s camps and encounter Yaks especially during winter. We will see high Himalayan villages like Rukubji and Chendebji. All the houses cluster at one place and fields

The road will climb all the way to the Pele-la pass. It is at 3300m. It is a landmark between east & west, and from here we will descend to Wangdu and then Punakha.

It was the winter capital for over 300 years until the time of the second King. Punakha Dzong that dominates the whole area was built in 1637 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel, and established the central monastic body with 600 monks.

Today, Punakha is still the home for Je Khenpo (chief Abbot) and the central monastic body. It was built at the confluence of two rivers called the PO-CHU and MO- CHU. This means, Male & Female.

After Punakha Dzong, drive further 6 kilometers to make a mini hike to Khamsum Yuelly Namgyel Chorten was built by one of the four queens. The mother of Crown prince and it represent three elements FIRE, WATER AND AIR. It is dedicated to wellbeing of the crown prince and peoples those who live in this village.

Day 5: Punakha – Thimphu 77 km 2 hours altitude 2350m

Day Map

The drive begins with the ascent to the Dochula pass at an altitude of 3150 meters. On a clear day, you can see the whole range of the Bhutanese Himalayas from here. The pass has 108 Druk Wangyel Chortens. And then you descend to Thimphu Capital of Bhutan.

Visit the Memorial Chorten built in 1974 to honor the memory of the Late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuk.

Visit Kuensel Phodrang Buddha

Visit Trashi Chhodzong after 5 pm on weekdays.

Visit Dechen Phodrang Monastic School and if time permits free stroll at Thimphu main town.

Day 6 : Thimphu – Paro, 55 km 1 hour -Taktsang, Paro

Day Map

Hike or take a horse ride to Taktsang Monastery. Taktsang meaning “Tiger’s Nest” is built around a cave in which Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) meditated clings seemingly impossible to a cliff at 3000 feet above the valley floor. For the local people it is a place of pilgrimage, but for a tourist, a hike up to the viewpoint opposite the monastery can be exhausting, thrilling and mystical.

The legend has it that Guru Rinpoche is had flown to the site of monastery on the back of tigress from Tibet and meditated in the cave there for three months. Although the main building of the temple was destroyed by fire on 19 April 1998, the hike up to the viewpoint is still worth the effort as the temple has been restored to its original form.

On coming back and reaching to main road, turn right and dive further to Drukgyel Dzong. Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel built it in 1649. It damaged by fire in 1951. As well, visit one of the oldest monastery in Bhutan, Kichu Lhakhang and built in the 7th century by the first King of Tibet, Songtsen Gampo to spread Buddhist Dharma throughout Bhutan.
